FULL DAY CITY TOUR OF SYDNEY BEYOND THE ICONS

What to know where the best beaches are? Or the best value fashion shops and deli’s the locals go to? To find the most scenic hikes around town? Meet members of the indigenous Kamigay people on their own turf? Explore the hottest bars and art galleries, or just have a barbie at the best picnic spot? Clue: they’re not the same places listed in the travelers mag’s, and not the same spots most tour operators take you to. Join our full day Sydney Tour to discover what lies beyond Bondi Beach, the Sydney Opera House and The Rocks (although we go there too ;-). This full day city tour of Sydney will immerse you in the hustle and bustle of the most beautiful city on earth, guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
Sydney quickly grew into a metropolis of 5 million people, just 235 years after the Kamigai and the Gamaragal saw the Tallships of the First Fleet enter Botany Bay and Port Jackson. Today, Sydney is growing by 20,000 people every year. Immigrants (almost 45% of all Sydney residents were born outside Australia), sure, but lots of babies too. Sydney has a young population, most of whom live in the suburbs – satellite towns and villages where daily life revolves around a shopping centre, the park or beach, school and, of course, the RSL club. Few people live in the centre of Sydney, where most tourists live near The Rocks and the Sydney Opera House. To see the “real” Sydney, you have to go beyond the tourist attractions. Of course, you can’t experience so much history and modern diversity in a few days, let alone a few hours. However, with our expertly guided Dingo Tours, we can go a long way.
The “Full day city tour of Sydney” covers all the icons and must-sees, of course. But we take plenty of time to allow for sporadic itinerary changes in response to unexpected situations that, in a multicultural city like Sydney, can surprise us at every turn.
Join our full day city tour of Sydney, and discover what lies beyond Bondi Beach, the Sydney Opera House and The Rocks. On this full-day tour, we’ll immerse ourselves in the colourful hustle and bustle of one of the world’s most beautiful city, guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
As always, we are happy to tailor our programme to your personal preferences. Would you rather spend more time on Bondi Beach, walk the cliff path or even dip into the fresh seawater of Coogee Baths? No problem. Or maybe you’d like to take a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House in German – let us know. Or would you prefer to split your time between the city and the northern beaches of Palm Beach (and the film set of Home & Away)? With this full-day tour of Sydney, anything is possible!

“Sydney is such a vibrant and diverse city that spontaneous diversions of our standard itineraries are always possible, with surprises around every corner. That’s why every city tour is different, and that’s way I just love show off my town to visitors!””
Jelle Marechal, Dingo Tours Guide
BEHIND THE STAGE… OF THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
Few buildings in the world have had such a profound and lasting impact on a city and its people as the Sydney Opera House. When the Opera House opened in 1973, 15 years after Danish architect Jørn Utzon’s designs were fished out of the dustbin at the last minute, everyone in the world knew where Sydney lay. The first steps on the long road to an Australian identity distinct from Britain’s had been taken. So a one-hour tour of the Sydney Opera House is well worthwhile.
For enthusiasts, we are happy to include the Sydney Opera House tour in our Full Day City Tour of Sydney. If you book our city tour, you can add the Sydney Opera House tour as an “add-on”. Price: $44 per person.
SYDNEY AND THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
During the booking process of our Full Day City Tour of Sydney, you have the option to book an additional tour, e.g. our Blue Mountains Insider Day Tour, or – why not – a two-day Greater Blue Mountains Tour. Many variations are possible. Combinations are slightly cheaper.
