ITINERARY (short):

Total distance to cover: 300 km

On our first day, we'll be visiting a series of sleepy and quaint country towns, as we meander our way to the Kangaroo Valley via the Grand Pacific Road through the Royal National Park and the south coast, across the Seacliff Bridge. Stops at Bald Hill, Berry, the Kiama blow holes and historic Berry before we reach the whitest beaches of the world at Jervis Bay. A refeshing nature walk along the White Sands track works up our appetite. After lunch, we continue via Jamberoo to Kangaroo Valley, in time to see the wombats, kangaroos and echidnas' venturing out at dusk, before we settle into our our country hotel in Kangaroo Valley.

Total distance to cover: 200 km

A wholesome & European style breakfast before we' continue our journey towards the vineyards and caves of Wombeyan. Although lesser known that the Hunter Valley, the Mittagong and Wombeyan wineries here certainly have way more character and charm. Fans of delicate, fresh white wines such as Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc, or even the cooler climate wines like the Chambourcin and the Verdhelo are in for a treat. After our wineries tour, we'll sober up with a of the Wombeyan Caves - yet another hidden gem of the Southern Highlands. Though smaller then the Jenolan, Wombeyan Caves are one of the country's most attractive cave systems, with its Figtree Cave is regarded as the state's premier self-guided cave experience. Cute: the inquisitive kangaroos that surround us!

Then onwards to Gourbourn, not without spening some time at Taralga - a very quiet & charming country town that is totally off the beaten track. Many historically significant buildings to be observed throughout the town. Once in Goulbourn we in for the night in our comfortable hotel (Trappers, Best Western or similar).

Total distance to cover: 200 km

Today we'll slowly explore the Southern Highlands and pastoral country, as we meander our way through the back of the Great Divide, past sheep paddocks, state forests and historic settlements to finally enter the Blue Mountains. A visit to the magical Megalong Valley offers an iescape from the rest of the world, especially for those who wish to get a little taste of outback life.

After lunch, we are ready for a walk along the temperate rainforests and towering sandstone escarpments of the beautiful Grose Valley. At Pulpit Rock you’ll know why it’s one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. See the magnificent Bridal Veil waterfall drops a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff. .Keep an eye out for Crimpson Rosella's, King Parrots, Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos and Eastern Spinebills.

Late afternoon, we settle in for the night in a quaint village historic that has kept its old charm and character of a Blue Mountains town. Accommodation: Comfort Inn Redleaf Resort (or similar).

Total distance to cover: 150 km

After a hearty breakfast, it is time to explore more of the Blue Mountains, starting with a long walk in the Jamieson Valley (the duration and difficulty of the walk can be selected according to guests' abilities and interests). A visit to the icon Three Sisters is a must.

After lunch in the picturesque mountain town of Leura (at own expense), it is time to head back to Sydney. We aim to be back in Sydney by 5 pm.
